Birch core is almost invisible

Last night I glued on the rim cap and glued seven Honduran Rosewood tone ring segments. The rim is really shaping up now. Once the tone ring is on (shown here just laying on top with no glue), we will (hopefully) never again lay eyes on the Birch block core, which is a bit sad in a way.
