Gluing more blocks

After ten days of social engagements and work travel, I am back in the shop. Last night I glued seven Koa rim cap segments. The next step is to make the eighth a perfect fit. You can barely see my pre-hiatus progress: gluing maple and black fiber trim lines on the bottom of the rim. They'll look much sharper once sanded flush and set against the cap.

There's also a shot of my rigged disc sander table, since the table is missing from my grandpa's sander. I used it to joint the cap blocks. It helps.

Lastly, enjoy another shot of the neck. I am cautiously removing material from the misaligned pieces, so the lamination plies are starting to pop.

That neck looks awesome! Not as awesome as your sander table, but still pretty good.

Thank you, sir. Once I'm in the black at the end of 2013, I'll look into a new sander.
