Rim turning

The first rim layer is glued to (a piece of paper glued to) the guide disc and I'm sanding it to a circle in the mode of the Bluestem Banjo Guide. In tweaking the outer diameter, I've already messed up the inner diameter and possibly not left enough material in all places. I'll either escape by the skin of my teeth or have to add an extra inner veneer layer. I was hoping to just veneer the outside and leave the blocks exposed on the inside, or at least have that option once I see it built up. I need to decide soon if I'm going to throw this layer away before I glue on a second. I also need to devise a way of attaching my shopvac near that sanding drum.
